Project Manager for two simultaneous projects within the Security Operations to address SEC Audit failures.

These projects included:   

  • Guardium Operationalization of monitoring and alerting for firm’s 75 Highest-Risk applications [$1.6MM];
  • SSL Interception (using BlueCoat and FireEye) of enterprise web-based traffic via Blue Coat and FireEye infrastructure [$800k].

Key Responsibilities and Achievements:                                                                             

  • Assumed Project Manager role for high-profile, six-month-old failing project; formally revised project scope to provide a more robust and appropriate solution at a savings of over $200k (labor); developed plan to have solution in place 3 months earlier than planned; ensured project aligned with Audit closure objectives
  • Proactively identified and corrected 24-month old limitations within Audit resolution language to ensure deliverables were achievable by year’s end. Required negotiation, written communications, and presentations with executives, SMEs, and audit team to ensure understanding and compliance
  • Consolidated BlueCoat operations and hardware from New York to Colorado facilities and upgraded UAT and Production BlueCoat IOS to latest operating versions; implemented decryption functionality
  • Managed two separate teams of 4-8 SMEs across multiple disciplines within the data security departments; Defined, tracked, and assigned billable tasks for +100 Data Stewards in all business unit
